The Department of Education, Government of Gujarat started Government Arts and Commerce College in the historical town of Fort-Songadh, District Tapi in June, 2001, situated in the interior of the tribal area. The college was started with the aim of providing higher education along with Social and Cultural values in the premises of Sarvajanik High School, Songadh. At present we have 1931 strength of students out of which more than 60% are girl students and more than 95% are ST students.
